Hankkeen kohderyhmänä olivat työpaikat Suomessa, Latviassa ja Liettuassa.
The NGO Positive Health Team from Lithuania wanted to learn more about workplace health promotion (WHP) and how to develop it in their country. The Positive Health Team co-ordinated the project, and the Institute of Hygiene (Lithuania), Riga Stradins University (Latvia), and the Finnish Institute of Occupational Health (FIOH, Finland) were involved as partners. The project was funded by Nordplus Adult Program. The project aim was to determine how the different participating countries describe and understand WHP, what kind of WHP systems they have, and how they work. The second aim was to determine the reality and needs of WHP at workplaces. After surveys on these issues, the project prepared recommendations for workplaces (employer and employees) on essential WHP practices for employees and how to implement them in the most effective way.
